Hombre Soy — I'm a Man

Hombre Soy was written specially for MEN! It’s got a gentle, acoustic reggae-flavour and is sung in both Spanish&English. The song came to Praful during a men’s gathering; it is intended as a support and affirmation for men, amplifying the courage to live with a heart wide open and with a sweet presence that simply holds space. A reminder how the different facets of men can work in perfect balance: heart and mind, freedom and responsibility, flexibility and firmness — as soft as a rose petal, hard as a sword.

In the past years, many beautiful songs were made and sung by women to praise, empower and inspire women, which of course is fantastic and very needed. But not so often do men share songs specially to support men in their (conscious) evolution and self-finding-process. Hence a contribution to counterbalance. As women rightfully take their equal place side by side with men, the role and (self-)expectations of men are also changing in this play of the polarities — and sometimes leaving men puzzled and searching for their new role and place.
